“Tenure was there to protect people, so they could do ideas that maybe would cause them to lose their job or whatever and academic freedom. I don’t know that that’s really the role that it plays, quite frankly, anymore.”

P.S. I also would like to remind you that Florida is not the first state to kill the concept of tenure.

Date: 2023-03-09 01:16 am (UTC)Ем, ні. Точніше - it depends, але є вже ненульова кількість штатів, де не-участі в бойкотах вимагають від фізичних особ-працівників, не залежно від бізнесу. Прям вимагають "бамагу" підписати, мовляв, під страхом звільнення клянусь, що не бойкотував, не бойкотую і не планую.
До речі, бойкотувати Ізраїль, ПАР чи Росію цілком можна як фізична особа - просто не купуючи продукцію/послуги відповідних виробників, і привертаючи до цього публічну увагу. Це завжди робили, роблять і будуть робити. Ти сам це з росіянами робиш, ні?
