TL;DR;

After opposing a project designed to help Israeli army, Google tries to relocate the pro-Palestinian protester to Brazil. The protester (an ethnic Jew) quits, claiming retaliation.

The interesting part, not mentioned in the article is that Google may be forced to shut the employee up - most states have laws penalizing companies that support the BDS movement (Boycott, Divest, Sanctions). Basically, if your company suggests to boycott Israel - it can kiss the government money goodbye.

There was a lot of noise about Boudin's (SF Attorney General) liberal policies getting in the way of the police doing its job. SF voted to recall Boudin - yet it didn't help:

A guy was trying to steal a catalytic converter - when police arrived they pulled a man from under a car, asked him a few questions and set him free, because they "didn't see him doing anything wrong and they couldn't contact a car owner" (at 3am). The police chief stood by the decision.

I am starting to suspect that Boudin wasn't the problem. However, it's pretty ironic for people who really wanted him removed, who complained about the crime (which is 100% right thing to do) and vocally supported the police.
