On Sunday, officials identified the gunman, who was killed at the mall by a police officer, as Mauricio Garcia, 33. The motive for the attack remains unclear.

So a guy hated Blacks, women and Jews, was praising Hitler and quoting Nazis - what was his motive? Shoot, it is so unclear! A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma!

Може, вони під словом "мотив" мають на увазі остаточний мотив безпосередньо почати діяти? Наприклад, "вирішів збройно провадити вибрану політику самотужки", або, от, "вирішив протестувати проти [insert the cause]" В першому випадку його нацистські погляди будуть драйвером його дій, а в другому -- "всього лиш" означатимуть відсутність внутрішніх гальм.

Це я так, гіпотезу підкидаю. Просто тому, що, якщо пошукати, людей з такими політичними поглядами навколо -- дохріна, слава богу, не всі виходять стріляти.
