A private college fires a teacher after she uses a painting of the Prophet Muhhamed in her class on Islamic art - despite her giving a content warning to students and providing an option not to look at the image.
My take: it's frigging outrageous. Also, it is an interesting case - there is not much you can do to a PRIVATE college without infringing on the college's freedom of speech, freedom of associations and religious freedom. (That's despite the fact that private colleges enjoy taxpayer's dollars in numerous subsidies and tax breaks.) That's why I believe nothing will come out of it (conservative "academic freedom" won't take it to court) - too risky to create a precedent where a government can interfere with a private business of yeshivas and Christian colleges.
